Italian media reports that Paulo Fonseca must lead AC Milan to a win over Verona in their next match if he wants to be the Rossoneri manager after that.

Milan have been struggling lately, drawing goalless at home to Genoa in their last outing, leading Calciomercato to report that the board are re-examining Paulo Fonseca’s work.

Milan’s situation in Serie A is not so good, currently ranked 8th in the standings, 14 points behind the leader.

Italian media believe Fonseca could be sack if his side continue to disappoint in their trip to Verona, with Calciomercato saying the Portuguese must lead the team to victory.

However, a result against Verona could save Fonseca’s job if all goes well. But Milan face Roma and Juventus Register ufabet after that.

However, Fonseca is keen to ensure they enter the Christmas break with an important three points under their belts, ahead of visiting 17th-placed Verona on Friday.

“We all understand the frustration of the fans but there’s no one more than us who wants to win. We can work honestly to change the situation, we respect their protest,” Fonseca said.

“If we look only at the results, it’s true that there is disappointment but I can’t speak only about those, I see progress in the team from game to game.”

“When we have not won, almost always the problem has not been technical or tactical but of the head. I don’t remember matches in which we were dominate, only Liverpool,” he added of the 3-1 home Champions League loss they suffer against the Reds in September.

This is not the first time that reports have been made about Fonseca’s future and situation. Although overall performances have continued to look good, the media has mostly tried to link it to inconsistent performances on the Serie A stage.
