Monaco boss Adi Hutter admits interest in Randal Kolo Mouhani but believes the club cannot match his asking price.
Monaco have been dealt a major blow after Folarin Balogun suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery and the US forward is expected to be out for around four months.
It is within this context that Hütter said last week that Monaco would look to recruit a striker on loan in January. L’Équipe have link the Principality club with a move for Randal Kolo Muani (26), who is out of favour at Paris Saint-Germain and who will be allow to leave the club in January. He has left out of PSG’s squad as they beat Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday.
The French media recently had the opportunity to ask the Austrian coach before Monaco face Paris Saint-Germain this Wednesday, with the club being link with PSG’s surplus forward Mouhani.
“We are scouting (players in the market), it’s our job to explore the market and find the best solution for ourselves. Admittedly, it’s not going to be easy in the winter. For Kolo Mouani, it sounds good, but we have to be honest, we have to find a good solution.
“We have some (in mind), we have to find players who score a lot of goals, there are a lot of European players who can help us.
“I’ve known Kolo Mouhani since he played UFABET for Eintracht Frankfurt. He’s a typical player, but there are other factors and of course his price tag is not cheap. We have to find the best solution together.”
